Brian was saved at the age of 14 and surrendered to ministry at 16. Brian travels and speaks to churches, public schools, summer camps and universities all over the United States. Brian has an amazing story of Christ transforming him from a rebellious teenager into a man who is passionate about God. Brian clearly communicates the timeless principles of God’s Word with effective zeal and enthusiasm.
Brian is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a B.A. in Religious Studies and a Masters of Divinity degree in Pastoral Studies.
Brian is married to Angie Burgess and they have three boys. They enjoy working out, camping, traveling the world, and riding motorcycles. It is Brian’s desire that their life, family, and ministry will so accurately reflect God’s grace and power that they may encourage and enrich your ministry.
Andy Byers: Campus Minister, UCF Birmingham
“Brian did an amazing job connecting with our students on and off the stage.”
Pastor Jeff Spry: Western Avenue Baptist Church
“If you are looking for a speaker to connect with students and tell them the truth, I highly recommend Brian Burgess. I am very impressed with Brian’s ability to break through the fog of today’s teen mindset and deliver with clarity the call to live lives for the glory of God. He reaches students with his humor and his knowledge of the culture they inhabit and then shows the superiority of maintaining a biblical worldview within that culture. Your students will never forget Brian or his message.”
Clayton King: Founder and President, Crossroads Worldwide
“Of course, Brian is a great communicator. I have heard him make adults roar with laughter and I have seen him hold teenagers spell-bound. Of couse, he is a great preacher of the Word. His preparation prior to the sermon and his careful handling of the text should be the envy of all teachers. What I love most about Brian, though, is the authentic friendship we have shared since we were little boys growing up together in rural South Carolina. We were called to preach under the same pastor and have shared a strong and deep bond of brotherhood since our childhood. We have traveled together to Greece, Turkey, Switzerland, Arizona, and Colorado and have ministered together so many times that we can almost complete each others’ thoughts. I count him one of my dearest and most loyal friends and thank God for his influence in my life.”
